Mediareach is Launching Campaign for Rebtel, the World’s Second Largest Mobile VoIP Company
Mediareach Advertising was appointed by Swedish company Rebtel to manage its UK marketing account. The agency has created B2C marketing strategy with the campaign “Your Prepaid Sim Has Passed Away” which be launched mid November. Rebtel is offering free apps for all major smartphone platforms and tablet user allowing free or cheap international calls over 3G/Wi-Fi mobile data or using local numbers. The campaign includes Outdoor, Press, PR and Experiential activities targeted at the African communities in the UK.
Mediareach has long-standing expertise in connecting with hard to reach audiences and extensive experience in managing full-service integrated B2C and B2B strategies.

The Swedish company has only recently entered the UK market and is growing five times faster than Skype. Rebtel has combined the convenience of traditional fixed and mobile phones with the advantages of low-cost VoIP routing giving the user an immersive experience on tablets and smartphones in addition to its HD voice quality. The world looks very different today thanks to the new technologies and Rebtel took on board the advantages of innovations by making international calls more convenient, as opposed to the prepaid SIM commonly used in the UK. According to independent survey carried by Rebtel in the UK, 85% of respondents own a smartphone, however 81% of them use a different phone for calling to Africa. The app works instantly and eliminates the need for a second handset phone.
